Driftless Knitting: Episode 111 Shownotes
Thank you for tuning into Episode 111 of Driftless Knitting, a video podcast all about knitting, fiber, and other hand crafts. It was filmed on August 29th 2021 at my home in the Madison, WI area. This past week was a busy one and I'm finally getting show notes put up halfway through the next week. Better late than never, right? We went to our favorite apple orchard on Monday the 30th, and then Hudson started daycare on Wednesday, September 1st. He's doing great so far, has really enjoyed being around other kids, and is amazed by all the toys at this new house he goes to every day! I miss having time at home with him, but it's nice not having to juggle work and an 11 month old throughout the day.
Don't forget, you can find me as @driftlessknitter on Instagram and Ravelry. Find my patterns (by Jennifer Rundhaug) on Ravelry, Payhip, www.knitcircus.com, and here at driftlessknitter.com.
Projects:
Project 1: Toe-up socks using Knitcircus Yarns sock set. This was a sale sock set, so it is a one-of-a-kind. I used a US 1 (2.25mm) 40” circular using magic loop. Judy’s Magic Cast on and Fish Lips Kiss heel (Ravelry link) were also used in the socks.
Project 2: Cozy Memories Blanket. I'm using the pattern designed by Kemper Wray called The Coziest Memory. I finished one square using A Homespun House yarn. Progress keeper on that blanket is from The Nome Knitter.
Project 3: Leftover City Cowl (Ravelry link) knit in Woolberry Fiber Company Roadtrip Mini Skeins. I’m housing this project in a Bird Legs bag (they no longer make bags). Project 4: Cabin in the Woods hat designed by me! This pattern is not available yet, but should be in the next couple of weeks. I’m using the Sage Advice colorway from Knitcircus Yarns on Daring DK, an 80% super wash merino, 10% cashmere, and 10% nylon.
Acquisitions:
Bumblebee Acres Yarn: Old Salem colorway on Bubble Sock
